Potatoes are probably the most versatile vegetable! They go well with almost everything. Name it and the Potato Company has it....starters, main course, snacks......baked, fried, boiled, roasted..... cook it the way you like and hooking is sure to follow.

Sesame Potatoes
A starter that kick starts...
Here's the how to...
- Serves: 4
- Prep Time: 30 minutes
- Total Time: 1 hour
Ingredients
- Baby Potaotes - 12 to 15 pieces
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp (4-5 garlic cloves and 1" piece of ginger ground togther - avoid garlic if making as vrat food)
- Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
- Green chillies - 4 (cut into slits)
- Curry leaves - 5 to 6 (optional)
- Fresh lemon juice - 2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt - to taste
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Instructions
Boil and peel potatoes. (make sure you don't overboil them)
Prick potatoes all over with a tooth pick.
In a large bowl mix lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder and salt.
Add potatoes to this and mix well.
Leave aside for marination for about 20-30 minutes.
SEASONING:
Heat oil in a pan.
Add curry leaves. Let them fry for 2-3 seconds.
Add sesame seeds. Cook for about 30 seconds. Be careful, sesame can burn easily.
Add green chillies. Saute.
Add potatoes. Mix well. Cook it uncovered for about 8 -10 minutes.
Serve hot!!
Watering mouth and smacking lips will follow automatically...............:)

Sesame seeds burn easily, so keep stirring. Don't keep the heat too high.
Sesame seeds and fresh chillies can pop out when added to hot oil. Keep your face at a safe distance.
